Does this car seat require a base for installation?
No. Asset spin 2 has an integrated base and requires no additional base purchases for installation. Watch the asset spin 2 installation video for more information.
What are the 3 modes for asset spin 2?
Asset spin 2 is designed to support your child from birth to approximately 4 years with three clearly defined modes of use. The height label on the car seat can help determine which mode baby should be in:
1. Rearward facing with infant insert
This mode is tailored for newborns and smaller babies. The infant insert provides additional support, positioning and comfort during the earliest months. If your child's shoulders are below the bottom dotted line on the shoulder height label, the car seat must be rearward facing.
2. Extended rearward facing without infant insert
As your child grows, the infant insert can be removed to create more space. You should remove the insert once your child’s shoulders no longer sit comfortably within it, or they begin to appear restricted. Extended rearward facing offers enhanced protection and is recommended for as long as possible within the seat’s limits. If your child's shoulders are below the middle dotted line on the shoulder height label, you have the choice to remain rearward facing, or turning the car seat to forward facing.
3. Forward facing
If your child's shoulders are above the middle dotted line on the shoulder height label, the car seat must be forward-facing.
When do you know your child has outgrown asset spin 2?
When the child's shoulders have surpassed the upper dotted line on the shoulder height label.

Is asset spin 2 compatible with any strollers?
Due to the integrated base, asset spin 2 is not compatible with strollers and cannot be used as a travel system.
How do I clean this car seat's covers when they are dirty?
You can spot clean light marks with gentle cleaners. For heavier dirt, covers are removable and machine-washable in cold water on the delicate cycle with a mild detergent. Do not bleach, dry clean, or iron them.
