To comply with the ECE R44 OR ECE R129 car seat regulations of this car seat, we've included the weight/height at which the car seat can turn forward. However, we strongly encourage keeping your little one rear-facing as long as possible by maxing out the recommended rear-facing usage of the car seat.

What EU safety standards does this car seat meet?
This i-Size spinning car seat meets the highest ECE R129 safety standards, including rigorous side impact testing, with i-Size certification for that guaranteed good fit in i-Size vehicles and reduced risk of installation errors.
Has this seat been ADAC tested?
Yes! i-Harbour has been tested by the independent German safety testing organization ADAC, known for their rigorous crash testing that goes above & beyond even the highest EU legislation crash testing requirements. Paired with i-Base Encore, i-Harbour scored an impressive 2.0 overall with an even more impressive 1.6 for safety in crash tests with remarks for very low risk of injury in a side impact collision.
Does this car seat require a base for installation?
Yes. i-Harbour requires i-Base Encore for installation. For your convenience, i-Harbour can be purchased both with the base as a complete set for families who only have one car or who want a seat for each vehicle, as well as without for those families who wish to use a single seat between multiple bases in several vehicles.
What is the maximum height and weight usage for this car seat?
The maximum height and weight for use in rearfacing mode is 105 cm and 18 kg, or approx. 4 years. i-Harbour can be used in forward facing mode with the 5-point harness from 76 cm and 15 months to 105 cm and 18 kg, approx. 4 years.
How do you install this car seat?
i-Harbour clicks onto the i-Base Encore spinning car seat base for both rearfacing and forward facing modes. i-Base Encore installs with ISOFIX and a load leg. Please see our instructional video that demonstrates how to install the i-Harbour car seat.
Which pushchairs is this seat compatible with?
i-Harbour is not compatible with pushchairs.
How do I clean this seat's covers when they are dirty?
You can spot clean light marks with gentle cleaners. For heavier dirt, covers are removable and machine washable in cold water on the delicate cycle with a gentle detergent. Do not place fabrics in the dryer - hang dry only. Do not bleach, dry clean, or iron them.
When do I remove the infant insert from this seat?
The infant insert adds side protection for your baby and we recommend using the infant insert while your littlie is under 60 cm or until they outgrow the insert. You can remove the infant insert when your child's shoulders no longer fit comfortably and they are starting to look cramped or restricted.
Can this car seat be used on a flight?
i-Harbour is not airline approved for use in-flight.
