Does this car seat require a base for installation?

What are the 3 modes for i-Harbour Pro?
i-Harbour Pro is designed to support your child from birth to approximately 4 years (40–105 cm), with three clearly defined modes of use:
1. Rearward facing with infant insert (from birth to 60 cm)
This mode is tailored for newborns and smaller babies. The infant insert provides additional support, positioning and comfort during the earliest months.
2. Rearward facing without infant insert (up to 105 cm)
As your child grows, the infant insert can be removed to create more space. You should remove the insert once your child’s shoulders no longer sit comfortably within it, or they begin to appear restricted. Extended rearward facing offers enhanced protection and is recommended for as long as possible within the seat’s limits.
3. Forward facing (from 15 months and 76 cm to 105 cm)
When your child reaches at least 15 months and 76 cm, the seat can be used in forward facing mode up to 105 cm.
What is the maximum height and weight usage for this car seat?
The maximum height and weight for use in rearward facing mode is 105 cm and 18 kg, or approximately 4 years. i-Harbour Pro can be used in forward facing mode with the 5-point harness from 15 months and 76 to 105 cm, or approximately 4 years.
How do you install this car seat?
ISOFIX and load leg are used to install i-Harbour Pro while rearward facing and forward facing. Please see our instructional video that demonstrates how to install the i-Harbour Pro car seat.
How does the detachable side impact pod further protect my child?
Detachable side impact pods are designed to add an extra layer of protection in the event of a side collision — the most common type of serious road accident. When fitted correctly, they help absorb energy and reduce the forces transferred to your child. Always install the pod on the side of the car seat closest to the vehicle door. This ensures it can perform as intended.
Is i-Harbour Pro compatible with any pushchairs?
Due to the integrated base, i-Harbour Pro is not compatible with pushchairs and cannot be used as a travel system.
What are the differences between i-Harbour Pro and i-Harbour E?
i-Harbour Pro is suitable from birth to approximately 4 years (40–105 cm) and includes an integrated base, so everything you need is in one complete seat. i-Harbour E is designed for use from 6 months (61–105 cm) and must be installed with the separately sold i-Base™ Encore.
How do I clean this seat's covers when they are dirty?
You can spot clean light marks with gentle cleaners. For heavier dirt, covers are removable and machine washable in cold water on the delicate cycle with a gentle detergent. Do not bleach, dry clean, or iron them.
When do I remove the infant insert from this seat?
The infant insert adds side protection for your baby. We recommend using the infant insert while your littlie is under 60 cm, or until they outgrow the insert. You can remove the infant insert when your child's shoulders no longer fit comfortably, and they are starting to look cramped or restricted.
