What EU safety standards does this car seat meet?

Does this car seat require a base for installation?
No. i-Irvana Max has an integrated base and doesn't require the additional purchase of a base for installation.

As an extended harness car seat, i-Irvana Max can be used in harness mode from 15 months and a maximum weight of 25 kg (approx. 7 years). As a belted booster, i-Irvana Max can be used from 100 cm to 150 cm (approx. 3.5 to 12 years)
How do you install this car seat?
i-Irvana Max is installed with the ISOFIX connectors in its integrated base as well as top tether for an easy and secure installation in harness mode. In belted booster mode, i-Irvana Max is installed with the vehicle belt and has the option to use ISOFIX to secure it to the seat. Please see our instructional video that demonstrates how to install this car seat.
Which pushchairs is this seat compatible with?
i-Irvana Max is not compatible with any pushchairs.
How do I clean this seat's covers when they are dirty?
You can spot clean light marks with gentle cleaners. For heavier dirt, covers are removable and machine washable in cold water on the delicate cycle with a gentle detergent. Do not place fabrics in the dryer - hang dry only. Do not bleach, dry clean, or iron them.
Why is there no infant insert for this seat?
This car seat is not suitable for use from birth and can only be used when child is both 15 months old and 76 cm tall. If you are looking for a multi-stage car seat suitable for use from birth, please see our toddler and child car seats with options offering use from birth through approx. 12 years.
Can this car seat be used on a flight?
i-Irvana Max is not airline approved for use in-flight.

DelightedHaving read the only 3 reviews I was a bit concerned. I initially was going for the i-Irvana but the Max seemed to make so much more sense, with the extra height allowance in the safer harness. However it was hard to find one to actually look at 'in the flesh'. I took the plunge and am delighted I did. The 3 way clip connection for the harness seems fine. The 2 top parts slot together with a small raised 'button to hole' connection that helps while they are slotted into the lower 3rd part quite simply and seem as sturdy as any others I've seen. Adjusting the harness is simple, with a push button under seat front, once you work out it's the straps under the padded shoulder straps that move. I find it's easier to slacken the harness before releasing. The adjustable headrest operates very easily though I haven't had it fully extended on a journey but it seems quite firm. My car back seat continues up into an all in one headrest so the tether had to go around this which made it a bit awkward tightening. It would have been easier if the strap was initially double to go either side of the headrest with the tightening part further along nearer the tethering bar... but that's just for my car!

Poor designMost features are fine but the strap release button is in the most inconvenient place. I cannot imagine how this design was deemed acceptable. Awful design
