Joie designs and tests its products with safety as our number one priority. When we believe that a recall is warranted, we voluntarily take steps to do so.
Based on a robust commitment to safety and continuous product improvement, Joie has decided to recall certain Joie serina swivel baby swings in the Fashion Elephant Duo colourway, sold through Smyths Toys in the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
This notice applies only to units with a manufacturing date of 19, 21 or 22 February 2025
STOP USING THE PRODUCT IMMEDIATELY
If your serina swivel falls within the affected manufacturing dates, please stop using it straight away, keep it out of the reach of children, and contact Joie Customer Care to arrange a free remedy.
Issue
Joie has identified that the steel bolt which secures the seat unit to the grame may fail on a small batch of serina swivel units produced on the dates listed above. If this occurs, the seat unit could unexpectedly separate fomr the base, which could result in injury to the infant.
Key Points
- Only units manufactured on 19, 21 or 22 Feburary 2025 are affected.
- The product identification label is located on the underside of the base.
- Units outside these manufacturing dates are safe to continue using.
- Caregivers should stop using an affected unit immediately and contact Customer Care.
- All remedies are provided free of charge.

The model code and date of manufacture are printed on the product identification label, which is located on the underside of the base. Please check whether the manufacturing date on your product matches 19, 21 or 22 February 2025. If the sticker is missing, unreadable, or you are unsure, please contact us directly rather than continuing to use the product.
