Straps are too shortI have an 8-week-old, and at first it seemed like this chair was great. It has all the necessary features, nice music and nature sounds, and good-quality fabric. However, I found the straps to be too short, making it useless. It supposed to be the primary thing in chair like this, not music or vibration. They straps way too tight on my baby’s shoulders. I read another review elsewhere that mentioned this, but I still decided to give it a try. I just don’t get it why wouldn’t they make much longer so everyone can adjust accordingly to their baby. The straps are just about when you put them without the baby in the chair, let alone with newborn in. I also agree with other reviews on here that for newborns the chair is a bit too deep, which causes the baby’s neck to collapse toward the chest, and that isn’t safe. It’s a shame, because everything else about it is great.

Maybe for when they are 3+ monthsI bought this thinking my newborn would use it a lot. The angle of the seat means your babies chin is permanently stuck to their chest which is not recommended as it blocks their airways slightly. I think once he can lift his head more ill feel more comfortable with him being in this. I suspect we will only get a few months use out of it.

Beautiful swingI have had this chair for 4 months now. Used from newborn. I did have to pad it out a little with a blanket at first to make it flatter to stop my newborns chin from resting on his chest. I have used the swing everyday my son absaloutely loves it and it's been an essential! Definitely recommend. The chair I have is extremely loud when swinging its clicks and it also creaks with each swing which is very annoying but you get used to it my son is average weight so I would say after 4/5 months it's not usable. (My neighbours can hear it)
